EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harry Lee Ledoux announces his passing on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his home with loving family by his side at the age of 91. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice.

EUNICE–A private funeral service for Martin Lee Chevis, 59, will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at St. Mathilda Catholic Church in Eunice. A public visitation will be observed from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Owens-Thomas Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

1 dead, deputy injured in standoff

The shooting of an Acadia Parish deputy during standoff at a Crowley apartment complex Sunday and the shooting death of a juvenile in Jennings Saturday night are related, according to police.
