The following are arrests by Eunice Police. April 9 Bridgette Miller, 44, 100 block of College, Eunice. Probation violation hold. Lexiss D. Lanclos, 31, 1000 block of North 2nd Street, Eunice. Probation warrant. April 12 Bhrett Schexneider, 22, 500 block of North 7th Street, Eunice.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. April 10-12 Terry Lee Foreman, 38, 100 block of Savoie Road, Cankton. Domestic abuse battery (strangulation) (child endangerment), interference of emergency communication. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

1 dead, 12 missing after lift boat capsizes in Gulf

2 other victims identified in I-10 crash that killed Eunice woman

Two other victims of a fatal crash on Interstate 10 on April 7 have been identified by Louisiana State Police. The four-vehicle crash killed 25-year-old Sadie Fontenot of Eunice. The other victims were 27-year-old Derrell W. Smith, Jr. of Lake Charles and 24-year-old Kelsie Murphy of Crowley.

Former sheriff recommended to be next Louisiana legislative auditor

A legislative committee recommended Monday hiring former Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack to be the next Louisiana legislative auditor. The full Louisiana Legislature will consider the recommendation during the regular session, which began Monday.
