State asking residents for winter weather damage report

The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, along with St. Landry Parish Emergency Preparedness, is asking residents who had damage due to the winter weather event to report that damage through GOSHEP’s self-reporting tool. Lafitte the Crawfish granted pardon

Eunice man charged with attempted second-degree murder

Information sought about highway shooting

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred on the Church Point Highway, just south of Church Point at about 1 a.m. on Feb. 21. An unknown suspect fired shots into a vehicle occupied by multiple juveniles as they were both traveling north.
