01:08 Caller in the 1100 block of West Ash advised that she was robbed by a subject and that he is now headed toward Opelousas.
Diaunne Dischler gives a food box Wednesday at the Northwest Center pavilion. The food distribution was sponsored by Second Harvest. Kevin Guillory helps out during the Second Harvest drive-thru food drive. One box was given per one family while supplies lasted.
The LSU Board of Regents approved renaming the Acadian Center to the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center at its monthly meeting Friday.
The building will now honor Dr. Anthony Mumphrey, the first chancellor of LSU Eunice and one of its earliest champions.
St. Landry Parish School Superintendent Patrick Jenkins received a proficient score in an annual evaluation conducted by the School Board on Thursday.
Jenkins was scored by 12 of the 13 Board members with an average score of 33.6.
In 2019, the Board’s average score rated him at 31.

Kinder- Irene B. Reed, 89, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & great-great grandmother. She was a devout Catholic, a member of the Ladies Alter Society and Chaplin for American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of many years.
