Ville Platte men sentenced for drug trafficking

Two Ville Platte men were sentenced in federal court for drug trafficking in the Ville Platte area. U.S. District Court Judge Robert R. Summerhays sentenced the two on Nov. 16, according to acting U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook.

Concealed carry class planned Saturday

The St Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is holding a one-day a concealed carry permit class at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice. The course is $100 and $80 for a spouse. The course includes fingerprints, notary or online help, application, classroom, range and a hot Cajun meal.
