A drive-thru Disaster Recovery Center will open in Eunice today. The center is staffed with FEMA personnel who are available to scan documents, assist with registration and answer questions about disaster-assistance programs.

Mold closes Eunice Junior High for October

A mold problem at Eunice Junior High School is closing the facility during October, according to a letter to parents from St. Landry Parish School Superintendent Patrick Jenkins. In a separate notice, it was announced the students would continue their education with virtual instruction.

Some St. Landry Parish public schools to remain closed

Most St. Landry Parish public schools will restart on Wednesday, but some will remained closed in the wake of Hurricane Delta. All schools in the Northwest Zone will be open. These schools include Lawtell Elementary, Grand Prairie Elementary, Plaisance Elementary, and Northwest High School.
