American Legion craft fair at Kinder
KINDER — The Kinder American Legion Post 244 is inviting everyone to a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Lambert Park.
Organizers have invited 25 food and craft booths including five food trucks to the event on Saturday.
Hurricane Laura caused $525.4 million in damage to Louisiana farmers and $1.1 billion to the Louisiana timber industry, according to preliminary estimates by the LSU AgCenter.
FEMA approved St. Landry Parish for Individual Assistance following Hurricane Laura.
Also added were Caddo and LaSalle parishes.
Homeowners and renters may now apply for federal disaster assistance for uninsured and under-insured damage and losses resulting from Hurricane Laura.
The St. Landry Parish School Board voted to send students in pre-kindergarten to fourth-grade back to school full-time and fifth through 12th grades in a hybrid schedule.
Students are also allowed the option of continuing to learn virtually.
