Eunice Police Arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. August 25 Anthony J. Mora, 35, 5100 block of Sheridan St., Jennings. Warrant, from March 2018, for offenses of flight from an officer, theft by shoplifting, and resisting an officer. Jarett Paul Aguillard, 28, 2000 block of Betty, Eunice. Simple assault.

Lafayette – Nicholas Errol Rheams, 35, passed away on August 22, 2020 at his home in Lafayette. Nicholas “Nick” was born on May 9, 1985 to Everett E. Rheams of Eunice, and Yvonne D. Rheams of Maryville, Tennessee. A celebration of life service will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

St. Landry Parish Courthouse to close at noon Tuesday

Judge Alonzo Harris has issued an order closing the St. Landry Parish Courthouse and all offices within it at noon Tuesday and all day Wednesday.  Harris will evaluate the weather situation and decide later about Thursday, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Government.
