Three O’Clock meals through August The Three O’Clock Project summer meal distributions will continue through August. The extension comes as several school districts in Acadiana have delayed their school start dates. The distribution in Eunice is from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Eunice Community Home Health earns patient satisfaction award

Eunice Community Home Health has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Premier Performer” for achieving an overall patient satisfaction score that ranked in the top 5% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2019 calendar year.

OGHS earns recognition for breastfeeding program

Parish Council proceeds with CAO position

An ordinance to activate the chief administrative officer job is headed to the Aug. 19 St. Landry Parish Council meeting. The ordinance was introduced Wednesday prior to the Council’s committee meetings.

Teachers to get scrub option

Teachers will be given the option to wear scrubs when classes start in St. Landry Parish. The scrubs were added to the dress code included in the district’s Strong Start plan to reopen schools.

Crawfish concerns weighed in mosquito spraying decision

Police jurors wanted input from the public — specifically, from parish crawfish farmers — before they authorized aerial spraying for mosquitoes in Acadia. To that end, a public hearing was held Thursday night in the Community Room of the Cooperative Extension Office.
