Lake Charles man indicted in Daville shooting

Hikeam O. Wilson, 18, has been indicted for the first-degree murder of Scott Daville in December 2018. The St. Landry Parish Grand Jury indictment was returned Feb. 20 before 27th Judicial District Court, Judge A. Gerard Caswell.

2 Eunice residents indicted in drive-by shooting

Two Eunice residents were indicted in the drive-by shooting of De’Omante Frank on Nov. 4, 2019, at South Martin Luther King Drive and East Maple Avenue. Demyron L. Skinner, 19, of the 1000 block of Anne Street, Eunice, was indicted for second-degree murder.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. February 22 - 24 Ashley Dawn Beard, age 31, 1000 block of Jackson Lane, Melville. Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Arrested by Melville Police. Dereck Jimmie Dorsey, 29, 800 block of Miller Road, Opelousas.
