Hospital tax vote runs into blockage

The Acadia-St. Landry Hospital quest to hold a 10-mill tax election to build a new facility was blocked at least temporarily by the Acadia Parish Police Jury. Cindy Walters, hospital CEO, requested the Police Jury approval to place the tax proposal on the May 9 ballot, but it was tabled.
