Information sought in home burglary in Swords area

St. Landry Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a home burglary that would lead to an arrest. On Oct. 9, the homeowner reported a burglary in the 500 block of Sonnier Road, according to Lt. James Bergeron of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. The homeowner left his home around 9:15 a.m.

Person injured in drive-by shooting on Rupert Lake Road

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting which occurred in the 1200 block of Rupert Lake Road south of Eunice about about 10 p.m. Nov. 2.

Early voting ends Saturday

As of noon Wednesday, 588 people had early-voted at the Eunice Municipal Complex for the Nov. 16 election. Total votes cast in St. Landry Parish at the end of voting Tuesday were 3,264. Early voting continues today and ends Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
