The following are arrests by Eunice Police. October 28 Girard James Deville, 33, homeless. Bench warrant. Nathaniel R. Freeman, 18, 400 block of Corn Street, Eunice. Simple assault. Angelina Alexis Smith, 30, 100 block of Shelton Manuel Road, Eunice. Theft less than $1,000.

1 person wounded in Saturday shooting at Shell station

Eunice Police were still investigating a shooting that wounded a male subject at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday at the Shell station in front of Super 1 on U.S. 190.

Eunice Police arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. October 25 Taurean Redman, 31, 900 block of Sittig, Eunice. Theft. April Cook, 35, 400 block of Ulysse, Eunice. Resisting an officer and battery of a police officer. October 26 Patrick Charles McGee, 42, 500 block of Ida Street, Eunice.

Bulb Blossom meeting set Nov. 5 The Bulb and Blossom Garden Club will have its meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in the home of April DeRouen. The program will be about hummingbirds and membership is open to anyone interested in the work of the Garden Club.

Al Berard Memorial Fund begins fundraising

Al Berard Memorial Fund, a fund of Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA), launched its annual fundraising campaign for 2019. There are a variety of sponsorship levels that range from $2,500 to $250. All donations to the Al Berard Memorial Fund are tax deductible and should be made before Dec. 31.

Eunice Police report shooting

Eunice Police report they have responded to a shooting call at a business on the 1800 Block of West Laurel Avenue and one victim was transported to Acadian Medical Center. Injuries appear not to be life-threatening. Officers are searching for suspects at this time.

Teen arrested, identified in Rayne post game shooting

The 15-year old juvenile arrested last week in connection with a shooting here has been named. Police Chief Carroll J. Stelly announced Thursday that Jeremy Dugas has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after jurisdiction for the case was transferred to adult court.
