Eunice city employee quits after text harssment charge

A 32-year-old city employee has resigned in the wake of being charged with harassing a former dating partner. Christopher Daniel Prudhomme, 32, 900 block of Wayne Road, Eunice, was charged with two counts of nonconsensual disclosure of a private image, telephone harassment and cyberstalking.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

Ray Burkman Fontenot passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the age of 86. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice.

Branch woman succumbs to injuries received in Acadia Parish crash

Mary Helen Hundley, 21, of Branch, died form injuries she suffered in a two vehicle injury crash on La. 365 near Schule Road in Acadia Parish. According to a news release from State Police Troop I the crash occurred as Hundley was driving a 2014 Kia Sportage westbound on La. 365.
