BSEE Director Sees Change and Optimism for U.S. Offshore Energy

Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement Director Scott Angelle told attendees of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry Conference, held at the Port of New Orleans Tuesday, that offshore energy is vital to the Trump Administration goal of energy dominance.

BSEE Director to Head-up Interior Department Royalty Policy Committee

The Director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Scott Angelle will now serve as the chairman of the Royalty Policy Committee (RPC). Appointed by U. S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, Angelle had been serving as Acting Chairman.

Bobcats face Brusly Panthers at home

The Eunice High Bobcats finished their regular season with an 8-2 record, earning the second seed in the 2018 LHSAA Class 3A playoff bracket. Coach Paul Trosclair’s Bobcats will take on the Brusly Panthers, the number 31 seed, on Friday at Bobcat Stadium.

Veterans Day program is Monday Veterans Day in Eunice will be observed at 11 a.m. Monday at the VFW Post 8971 Hall, U.S. 190 East. All veterans are welcomed and the public is invited to attend. The Eunice High Bobcat band will perform. An official flag burning will be done.

Food drive planned Dec. 4

St. Landry Parish food pantries and shelters are looking to stock their shelves with food for families in need this season. Food will be collected starting at 6 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Opelousas Civic Center parking lot on Creswell Lane, in Opelousas. Food will be accepted until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
