Eunice Elementary to reopen Friday

Classes will resume at Eunice Elementary School on Friday. There will be a meeting at 6 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Eunice, 331 W. Park Ave., in the sanctuary. Parents of third and fourth grade students are encouraged to attend.

Cotton Festival scheduled announced

Louisiana Cotton Association members have been working on the 65th Annual Louisiana Cotton Festival, which will be held Oct. 9 to 14. The members are announcing the royalty for the 65th Louisiana Cotton Festival. Kyle Ardoin, Louisiana secretary of state, will be crowned King Cotton 65th.
