Eunice Police warn of scam calls

There have been some complaints about scamming phone calls between of 3 and 4 a.m. targeting senior citizens and elderly citizens in Eunice, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot.

Student with handgun arrested at Armstrong Middle

RAYNE - Rayne Police Chief Carroll J. Stelly announced Rayne Police Officers arrested a 13-year-old male at Armstrong Middle School Tuesday morning after an officer learned from an anonymous source that the student had a handgun on campus.

113 graduated from Notre Dame on Friday

Once again it was standing room only at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point as 113 students became graduates of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish. Notre Dame’s Class of 2018 was celebrated via a Mass before its commencement ceremony Friday morning beginning at 9 a.m.
