New laws impact Acadia Parish

Two bills signed into law by Gov. John Bel Edwards last week directly impact Acadia Parish. One deals with the Acadia Parish Police Jury and its legal counsel, the second with insurance premiums for retirees from the parish Clerk of Courts Office.

2015 shooting deaths Crime Stoppers’ focus

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is asking the public’s help to solve a cold case homicide. At 11:50 p.m. on April 3, 2015, the Crowley Police Department responded to Fat Boy’s Convenience Store at 324 W. Second St. where they discovered two victims fatally shot inside of a vehicle.
