Acadian Cultural Center features Lawtell artist during African-American History Month

The Acadian Cultural Center in Lafayette will host the work of area artist Theon Guillory during February for African American History Month. Guillory’s work will be on display through Feb. 28. The center is open Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Here’s the Beef Cook-off scheduled March 3

The 33rd annual Here’s the Beef Cook-off is scheduled March 3 at the St. Landry Parish Ag Arena, U.S. 190 West, Opelousas. The St. Landry Parish Cattlemen’s Association dedicated this year’s cook-off to Dalton Comeaux, who organized and was a member of the St. Landry Parish Cattlemen’s Association.
