The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that La 1123 (Des Cannes Highway), between La 97 (Evangeline Highway) and Riverside Road will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday for bridge repairs. The closure is estimated to take place daily from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Eunice sales tax collections lag behind

Eunice sales tax collections continue to lag behind those of 2016, according to statistics from the St. Landry Parish School Board Sales Tax Division. From January through July sales tax collections totaled $3,121,336, down 0.8 percent from the $3,147,369 collected in the same period in 2016.
