The Louisiana Department of Health reminds state residents to get their annual flu shot if they have not done so already. An annual flu vaccine is recommended for everyone older than six months who does not have a complicating condition, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Move on to bring early voting to Eunice

Early voting for the next election involving Eunice voters may be held in Eunice. Early voting for all of St. Landry Parish now occurs in the registrar of voters office at the courthouse in Opelousas. Eunice Alderman Dale Soileau said Eunice voters don’t want to go to Opelousas.

Eight tons of food and other items were collected Tuesday during the 30th annual Eunice Food Bank Food Drive. Last year’s annual food drive Eunice Food Bank collected a little over five tons of food items and goods.
