Linus Cormier passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the age of 83. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Eunice with Father Sam Fontana, Father Cedric Sonnier and Father Clinton Sensat officiating.

A St. Landry Parish school bus was reportedly struck from behind by a tow truck at about 3 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 190 near Rozena Road west of Lawtell. News reports stated St. Landry Parish School Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said at least four students were taken to a hospital and none faced life-threatening injuries. The bus was carrying 27 students. Jenkins told KLFY the children ranged in grades from kindergarten to eighth grade. (Submitted photo)
