Norvil Henry Mosbroker, Sr. passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 76. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Basile with Reverend Gordon Scoggan officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Cemetery of Basile.

5-year-old killed in ATV wreck

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz has confirmed that at 4:43 p.m. Nov. 28, 911 received a call from female stating her husband and 5-year-old juvenile child wrecked while riding a side by side ATV in a field. The wreck occurred near Raider and Frilot Cove Road in the Frilot Cove area.
