Solar farm ordinance approved in St. Landry Parish

The St. Landry Parish Council approved an ordinance establishing a permitting process for solar farms in the parish. Parish President Jessie Bellard said NextEra Energy Resources has expressed an interest in establishing a solar farm in southeast St. Landry Parish.

T-day dinner up $11

The grocery tab for this year’s Thanksgiving dinner in Louisiana will run about $11 higher than in 2020 — but it will still fall below the national average, according to an LSU AgCenter survey.
