The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. June 29 Jason Cole Leger, 34, 200 block of Herbert Ortego Road, Washington. Home invasion, bench warrant 5 counts. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Joshua Lane Boone, 36, 1500 block of Hazel Street, Eunice.

Fireworks legal in Eunice through July 5

Shooting fireworks in Eunice is legal from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. through July 5, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. The city does ban the use of bottle rockets also know as penny rockets. The city-sponsored fireworks displayed is scheduled at 9 p.m.

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. June 26-28 Cordell Ray Lastrapes, 25, 100 block of Nick Drive, Port Barre. Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I CDS, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses. Arrested by Opelousas Police.
