Eunice Police officer sues chief, others, claims corruption, misconduct (Download the lawsuit)

A federal lawsuit naming Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot, other officers and the city claims misconduct and corruption in the department. The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana filed the suit on behalf of Lt. Michael Dunn on June 4.

EUNICE–Funeral services for Donavon Reed, 32, will be held at Word Ministries at 11 a..m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, with interment in the St. Mathilda Catholic Cemetery in Eunice, LA. Mr. Reed died on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Acadian Medical Center.

Eunice man charged in woman’s drug death

A 28-year-old Eunice man was arrested Saturday in connection with overdose death of Kassidy Guidry, 23, of Eunice, on April 23, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. Charged with second-degree murder is Tyler Sloane, of the 100 block of Valse Drive, Eunice.
