Information sought about Eunice burglary

St Landry Crime Stoppers needs help in locating the suspect involved in a burglary in Eunice. On Dec. 2, 2017, deputies were dispatched to 1019 N. 7th Street in Eunice for a residential burglary. A friend visiting the home owner noticed the kitchen door was wide open and a back window shattered.

Patsy Fruge Garcia passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2018, at the age of 67. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Christian Corner Ministries in Reddell, La.

Unemployment rate declines for 8th month in a row to 4.6%

Louisiana’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 4.6 percent in December. This is the eighth consecutive month the unemployment rate has declined. Compared to December 2016, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has decreased 1.4 percentage points.
