Fatal wreck on Interstate 10

Authorities have identified the victim of the fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning on the exit 80 overpass in Crowley. Leon Lamarcus Horhn, 32, of Houston, Texas, died when the 18-wheeler he was driving overturned, according to police.

Veterans celebrated

Veterans Day is nearly always a mix of celebrating the living veterans and those who died in service to the nation. At the Eunice VFW Post 8971 the ceremony is usually outside and then moved inside for a gumbo. Thursday’s celebration was held entirely inside the Post home as rain threatened.
