Eunice Police learned of two shootings within 10 minutes of each other — the first at 5:20 p.m. and the second report coming in at 5:30 p.m. — on Saturday, Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.
Police received a report of shots fired at Fuselier and Acadia streets at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.
Fontenot said the victim stepped out of a vehicle when the was shot at. The victim believed there were two shooters.
The report of the second shooting came from emergency room personnel at Acadian Medical Center at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
A man wounded in the thigh said he first noticed he was shot while walking in front of Sunrise Apartments.
Fontenot said police couldn’t find anyone who heard shots around the apartments.
Both were men suffred non-life threatening wounds, he said.
Police are investigating the possibility the shootings are related, Fontenot said.
