The International Rice Festival announces the entertainment lineup for this year’s festival to be held October 18-21, 2018. Celebrating its 82nd year, the Rice Festival remains an admission free event, attracting thousands of visitors each year. Beginning on Thursday evening, the two sound stages provide entertainment as well as festival events such as a rice eating and fiddle and accordion contest, the crowning of the International Rice Festival Queen and so much more.
Festival favorites Wayne Toups, Jamie Bergeron and Category 6 will be making appearances again this year. In addition, a few new acts will be taking the stage such as Gyth Rigdon, Glen Templeton and The Fleurtations. “We are very excited about the lineup this year. Our goal was to offer a variety of music for festival goers and I think we did that this year,” says Chad Monceaux, 2018 Festival Chairman.
Don’t miss this exciting weekend in downtown Crowley. Stay tuned for the 2018 Festival Theme and Poster announcement coming very soon.
