The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that beginning Monday construction will begin on a $3.9 million project on U.S. 190 from Bayou Teche to Bayou Courtableau in St. Landry Parish.
The project will include drainage structures, milling of the existing asphalt, pavement patching, asphalt surface treatment, asphaltic concrete overlay, and related work.
The work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
There will be intermittent lane closures throughout the project. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 14-foot maximum width restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.
The project is estimated for completion in March 2021.
