Detective Corina Schexneider of the Eunice Police Department returned to Crime Stoppers and needs the public’s help in solving a shooting in the city of Eunice.
Officers were dispatched to shots being fired on Benoit Street at about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 20.
Shortly after, a caller notified the department that her house in the 400 block of Corn Street was struck by bullets. The victim stated that she and her family were watching TV when she heard gunshots outside of her residence.
Officers observed her Trail Blazer’s passenger side window had been shot and two bullet holes were located on the west side of her home. Officers also located 13 9mm casings at the scene. One bullet was located in the living room where the family was watching TV.
During the shooting, the mother had to make her children lay on the floor until the police arrived.
