Rich Manieri’s recent opinion piece in the Eunice News lays blame for the Capitol riot on President Trump. Well, Mr. Manieri should’ve waited until the FACTS were in. Even CNN had to eat crow during their Jan. 14th programming, reporting that the riot was PLANNED, using Facebook and Twitter, many days ahead of Trump supporters’ gathering; as in BEFORE the President ever spoke. The Washington Post has also confirmed this.
The physical assault on the Capitol STARTED before the President spoke his first words to his supporters. So, no, there was nothing in the President’s speech that day that incited this riot.
What a crock for Manieri to write that the President “shamefully invited and incited” a mob to riot. But, this is just my opinion ... and it’s worth 2 cents, apparently just like Rich Manieri’s opinion.
