One Acadiana launches is second five-year strategy and campaign

One Acadiana (1A) joined investors, members and partners to launch “IMPACT – The Campaign for One Acadiana.”
This is the economic development organization’s second five-year, $15 million campaign designed to sharpen its ability to capture new and expanding business opportunities and propel Acadiana forward.

Jurley Jack Andrus

It is with great sadness that the family of Jurley Jack Andrus announces her passing on Friday, August 23, at 3:32 a.m. at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 96.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31 at 11 a.m. at Greater True Light Baptist Church in Eunice.
Interment will be at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery in Chicot with Pastor John A. Kenney Jr. of Christ First Baptist Church of Compton, California.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 31 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Greater True Light Baptist Church in Eunice.

Joseph CA Matt

Joseph CA Matt passed on to glory to once again meet up with his bride of sixty-five years, Betty Aucoin Matt, on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the age of 91. No Services have been planned at this time.
CA is survived by three daughters, Linda Aucoin and husband John, Denice Matt and husband Robert “Bobby” Matte, Monica LeJeune and husband Andrew; one brother, James Matt; one sister, Velva Thompson and husband Bill; two grandsons, Jamison Matt, Blake LeJeune; one great granddaughter, Madelyn LeJeune.

Debra is survived by one son, Dusty Jagneaux; one daughter, Zada Vincent; six brothers, Larry Doucet, Carl Doucet, David Vincent, Joe Vincent, James Vincent, Jeffery Vincent; five sisters, Carolyn Bellard, Doris Gillard, Sandra Bozyone and husband John, Cathy Oliver, Patricia Dixon; two Godchildren, Rusty Vincent, Johnathan Vincent.

Virgie Soileau Prejean

Virgie Soileau Prejean passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the age of 81. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Pastor Woody Gunnels will officiate. Burial will follow at St Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou, La.
At the request of family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will resume at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 28, 2019 until time of Services.
