Eunice Food Bank Food Drive

Many individuals, families, churches, clubs, schools, and civic organizations dropped off food items and monetary donations Tuesday to the Eunice Food Bank for its annual Food Drive. Mary Ann Guillory, director at the Eunice Food Bank, said she is grateful, and thankful for the community. Guillory will continue to accept food items and monetary donations at the food bank.

A “Candlelight Christmas” Concert

The Eunice Community Concert Band & Children’s Choir presented its “Candelight Christmas,” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at First Baptist Church in Eunice.
The concert was attended by many families. The program selections included: “Christmas on Broadway,” “Come On It’s Christmas,” “I Woulda Coulda Shoulda,” “It Was a Starry Night,” “Like It’s Christmas,” “Theme from ELF,” “A Most Wonderful Christmas,” “Celebrations for Christmas,” “Here Comes Santa Claus”, “Mary’s Little Boy Child,” “Oogie Boogie’s Song,” and “The Toy Trumpet.”

Fifth annual Eunice Community Garden's Christmas Festival

The Eunice Community Garden held its fifth annual Christmas Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. There were activites and games for children to enjoy at different local business’ vendors and booths. Prizes were given at each vendor. Refreshments of hot chocolate and gumbo were served. There were appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, Ms. Gingerbread, Pelican State Credit Union Pelican, and What A Guy from What A Burger. Randy Miller is the director of the Eunice Community Garden and the organizer of the Christmas Festival. Above is Eunice High Marching Band.
