The first annual Eunice’s “Out of the Darkness Suicide Awareness Walk” was held Saturday morning. The fundraiser walk was a success, and one of the organizers Jennifer Glasscock of Harmony House Counseling reported that over 400 registered participants were signed up and ready to walk and over $13,000 was raised for the The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help reduce the rate of suicides in our community through education and prevention services that will be offered in Eunice through schools, churches and businesses.

St. Edmund Catholic High School held its traditional homecoming parade Friday. The theme of the parade was, "Saints." Many St. Edmund classes participated as students decorated class floats. Many St. Edmund past classes were part of the parade as well as St. Edmund spirit teams, homecoming maids, Parade Marshal, Homecoming Crown bearers and much more. (Photos by Myra Miller)
