The 23rd annual Noel on the Prairie Holiday Shopping Spree was held Saturday and Sunday. The Open House was held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and some businesses were opened from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday. Over a thousand people went trick or treating at the second annual Trunk or Treat at LSUE campus Sunday evening.
Over 30 booths, with 182 volunteers including city marshals, were on campus. The booths which included decorated car trunks, and a scavenger hay booth were set up on the front parking lot of LSUE. Local businesses, individuals, political candidates, group and churches handed out trinkets and candy to youngsters.
