St. Landry Council on Aging Mardi Gras Dance

The St. Landry Council On Aging, Inc. held its annual Mardi Gras Dance from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Northwest Community Center in Eunice.
A crowd of Seniors, 60 and older, enjoyed live zydeco music provided by Big J & The Dog Pound, ate gumbo, King Cake and had punch.
Different Mardi Gras awards were presented to The King and Queen, the Most Traditional Costume, Most Creative Costume, The Best Female Dancer, and The Best Male Dancer.

10th annual Taster's Choice to benefit ECHC

Fat Tuesday is next week, but many started the season off Wednesday evening at the annual Taster’s Choice.
A crowd gathered at LSUE Acadian Center for ‘tasting and sampling’ of different foods during the 10th annual Taster’s Choice (Le Courir De Mardi Gras Pour Le Clinic).
The event is a cooking competition and is the major fundraiser for the Eunice Community Health Center.
Geno Delafose provided live Cajun Zydeco entertainment for the crowd. There was also a silent and live auction.
