The 33rd World Wide Annual Crawfish Etouffee Cookoff was held Sunday, March 25, at the Northwest Center Pavilion and grounds. Huge crowds attended, tasted samples of etouffee, danced to live Cajun bands, visited arts and crafts, and children
played on fun jumps, had face painting, and received balloon art.
Winners in Cooking and Showmanship/Booth Decoration were named, and awarded with trophies.

Eunice High School students had the opportunity to win prizes from gift cards to the grand prize of a Dell mini laptop at the annual Eunice High School Renaissance Pep Rally on Friday in the school’s gymnasium.
The theme of the academic pep rally was “Saddle Up For Success!” Students and faculty alike dressed the part in western attire.
Prizes included T-shirts, gift cards and much more from local businesses and individual.

The St. Landry Parish Cattlemen Association held its 33rd annual “Here’s the Beef” Cook-Off at the Ag Arena in Opelousas Saturday.
There were 68 beef dishes entered in seven categories at the cook-off
