Eunice Children's Mardi Gras parade

The annual Eunice Children's Mardi Gras run and parade prooved to be a success despite no sunshine on Sunday. Children and parents, alike, dressed in traditional Mardi Gras costumes. Some kids were bundled up in blankets as parade wagons and trailers traveled the
traditional Eunice Mardi Gras route. Chicken chases were held on muddy and wet grounds along the route, which seemed Not to bother the kids. The children's Mardi Gras route ended on Second Streets in Eunice, where parade watchers waited.

Annual Taster's Choice to benefit Eunice Community Health Center

Fat Tuesday is next week, but many started the season off Wednesday evening at the annual Taster’s Choice. A crowd gathered at LSUE Acadian Center for ‘tasting and sampling’ of different foods during the 8th annual Taster’s Choice (Le Courir De Mardi Gras Pour Le Clinic).
The event is a cooking competition and is the major fundraiser for the Eunice Community Health Center.

Martin Luther King Jr. 2018 celebration
