Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division deputies arrested a man who has ties to the Iota area for distribution of heroin, according to Sheriff KP Gibson.
The arrest was made in the Basile area of Acadia Parish.
“Agents conducting an undercover investigation met with the suspect and purchased 3.6 grams of heroin. The suspect in this case is believed to be dealing heroin between Acadia Parish up to the Kinder area” Gibson stated.
Agents were able to take the suspect into custody without incident. Arrested was Chet Hanks, 24, of Kinder. Hanks was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for one count of distribution of Schedule I narcotics (heroin), monies derived from drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail has been set at $50,000.
