Arrest made in drive-by shooting death

Eunice Police arrested Demyron L Skinner, 19, on Saturday and charged him with second-degree murder in the drive-by shooting death of a 21-year-old man on Nov. 4, according to news release from Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot.
Skinner is accused in the death of De’Omaante K. “D Gotti” Frank, 21, of Eunice.
Frank was shot at the intersection of East Maple Avenue and South Martin Luther King Drive.
Police said that at about 11;45 a.m. Nov. 4 Frank was riding a bicycle east bound on East Maple Avenue when a vehicle pulled up beside him.
Fontenot stated, seven to 10 shots were fired and Frank was struck once in the side.
Frank was taken to Acadian Medical Center where he died
“The shooting appears to be a retaliatory gang action. Players in the investigation have histories of prior shootings in Eunice,” according to a police statement.
Central Middle School, which is near the shooting, was placed on lock-down. No students were injured or involved.
