Church Point Police seek man wanted in shooting

Church Point police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Curtis E. Guidry. Guidry is wanted for a shooting that occurred at the Martin Luther King Park in Church Point on May 23.
Guidry is accused of firing several rounds at a vehicle occupied by two individuals. This was in retaliation for an earlier altercation. Guidry had two accomplices who were not identified but Guidry was positively identified as the shooter. Neither victim was injured in the incident.
Guidry is described as a black male, 33 years of age, 6’2” in height, weighing 225 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is 616 W. Point Dr. in Church Point.
Detectives have secured an arrest warrant for Curtis Guidry for two counts attempted second-degree murder and felon in possession of firearm.

All callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Guidry.
