Eunice man charged with attempted second-degree murder

A 41-year-old Eunice man was arrested in a shooting that occurred June 21 in the 400 block of East Vine.
Eunice Police say Billy James Thomas, of the 100 block of North Mallet, shot a 43-year-old man in the chest the victim sat on his porch.
Thomas has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, domestic abuse battery, home invasion.
Police believe the shooting arose over a woman.
