Eunice Police ID shooting victim, juvenile is sought

Eunice Police identified the victim in Wednesday's shooting and know who the shooter is.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the victim is Keshawn Guillory, 20, of South Beulah Street, Eunice. He has undergone surgery for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.
The suspected shooter is a 17-year-old male, he said.
“Had this incident occurred last year, before the state’s laws changed, the suspect could have been charged as an adult and his identity made known,” Fontenot stated.
The suspect got into a vehicle and drove away from the scene in a white 4-door 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL with a primer black front bumper and a tan left front fender, bearing Louisiana license number 133EJF.
Eunice Police are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspect or this vehicle to please call the Eunice Police Department at 337-457-2626.
The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Wednesday after two males argued inside the Golden Seafood store on East Maple. The confrontation moved outside where the shooting occurred on the parking lot. Before the shooting the victim in the stomach he was slapped with the gun, Fontenot stated.
Fontenot said a video of the incident was obtained.
