Eunice Police investigating shooting

Eunice Police were investigating a shooting that occurred about noon Friday, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot
The shooting was believed to be accidental, but the victim, who was at Acadian Medical Center, refused to give details, he said.
The female was wounded in the hip by a small-caliber firearm, he said. She would require surgery to remove bullet fragments, Fontenot added.
Police had not determined where the shooting occurred or the identify of the shooter, he said.
But investigators believe the shooter dropped the victim off at the hospital.
Those involved are believed to be from Eunice, he said.
