Police called to disturbance and discover it is something more

Eunice Police were called to a disturbance in the 1000 block of West Park Avenue at nearly midnight Sunday.
There was also a report of a knife involved in the disturbance.
Eunice Police Lt. Ryan Young said an officer arrived and there was no active disturbance.
Things got complicated when a male, who was the father of a child at the scene, was called to pick the child up.
A current boyfriend had left, but returned.
Young said there were conflicting statements about what occurred.
However, the father of the child had a pocket knife and the new boyfriend ended up with four wounds, he said.
The victim was taken to Acadian Medical Center in a private vehicle, he said.
The wounds were not life-threatening, but could have been, Young said.
Arrested in the incident for attempted second-degree murder was Justin Rosenberg, 24, of the 100 block of Pickwick Avenue, Lafayette.
