A 25-year-old Eunice man is charged with domestic abuse battery and false imprisonment after dragging a woman out of a vehicle and into a residence where he beat her, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.
Brogan Porche, 25, 1400 block of Dudley Street, was arrested after the attack at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Fontenot said.
Police were called to the scene with a report of a woman being dragged by the hair out of vehicle and into the house with two juveniles left outside.
Fontenot said the altercation began while Porche, the female and two children were traveling home in the vehicle.
The woman was hit the face and then pulled out of the car by the hair and shirt, he said.
Once inside the house the woman was struck in the face and choked, he said.
One of the children ran to a neighbor’s house for help.
The woman received moderate injuries that included swelling and bruising of her face, and cuts and scrapes on her chin and neck, he said.
