Sheriff’s office announces 11 recent Acadia Parish arrests

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has released the names of 11 people who have been recently been arrested for narcotics violations. They are listed along with their photos as follows:
• Nicole Lacroix,36, Crowley, two counts of distribution of suboxone.
•Sonja Fontenot, 52, Rayne, possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of adderall, possession of percocet, possession of hydrocodone, possession of oxycodone and proceeds from drug offense.
• April Oschman, 32, Morse, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Blase Meche, 21, Church Point, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and proceeds from drug offense.
• Frank Leopaul, 22, Rayne, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and proceeds from drug offense.
• Russell Smith, 21, Crowley, possession amphetamines/methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Christopher Istre, 25, Crowley, possession of amphetamines/methamphetamines.
• Peach Brooks, 28, Lafayette, misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
• Chris Gautreaux, 48, Crowley, possession synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Brodreck Reddeaux, 39, Rayne, possession of ecstasy, misdemeanor of marijuana, possession of alprazolam and possession of diazepam.
Ashley Greene, 42, Morse, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Acadia Parish Sheriff KP Gibson has stated since before he took office that he going to fight a nonstop battle against narcotics trade in the parish.
“We have been working every corner of the parish fighting the illegal drug industry,” said Gibson. “We continue to see a growth with methamphetamines as well as heroin. Synthetic marijuana also remains strong in the area.
“Our personnel is committed to this battle and I am proud of their efforts,” he added. “This is a battle that will never end. However we must continue the fight for the safety of our citizens and our parish.”
