St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Thursday, May 7 Daniel Coleman, Jr., 43, 700 block of Sidney Charles Road, Opelousas. Second degree battery. Arrested by Opelousas Police.
Fabian Jyi Williams, 23, of Rees Street in Breaux Bridge, was arrested and charged with: No Seat Belt; Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (Marijuana); Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS; Illegal Possession of a Machine Gun; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses.

Alert Narcotics Detective Arrests Suspected Dealer

OPELOUSAS — A sharp-eyed St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detective took a suspected drug dealer off the streets and seized marijuana, drug paraphernalia, nearly $7,000 in cash, and a fully-automatic Glock pistol during a traffic stop on May 2.
